Basic: basic adjectives

Study the following basic adjectives in Chinese

 

In Chinese is not necessary to insert a verb between the object and an adjective; but it is necessary to use a structural particle. “I am good”, will translate as “wǒ hěn hǎo” or, literary “I very good”, being hěn the structural particle.

His sister is tall and pretty. tā de jiě jiě hěn gāo,hái hěn piāo liàng。 他的姐姐很高,还很漂亮。  
His marks are good, his brother’s marks are not good. tā de chéng jì hěn hǎo ,tā dì dì de chéng jì bú hǎo。 他的成绩很好,他弟弟的成绩不好。  
It is very dark outside, we can not see a thing. wài miàn hěn hēi,wǒ men shén me dōu kàn bú jiàn。 外面很黑,我们什么都看不见。  
This road is very wide, that one is narrow. zhè tiáo lù hěn kuān,nà tiáo hěn zhǎi。 这条路很宽,那条很窄。  
This house is very good, hot in winter, cold in summer, is neither hot or cold. zhè gè fáng zǐ hěn hǎo,dōng tiān nuǎn huo,xià tiān liáng kuài,bù lěng bú rè de。 这个房子很好,冬天暖和,夏天凉快,不冷不热的
